Technical Support and Off Campus Access

This guide provides tips about accessing library materials both on and off campus, as well as what to do with security warnings when accessing library databases.

How to get Off-Campus access

Current Students, Faculty and Staff are entitled to use subscription research databases and e-journals outside the campus network (i.e., at home!) All you need is your CCSU email and password. Go to the Accounts Management page if you need to activate, reset password, or retrieve a BlueNet account.

To be authorized to use databases online from the library's homepage --> Databases A to Z list:

 

To sign in through CentralSearch:

  1. Click on Sign In / My Account in the upper right cornerClick on Guest for login
  2. Click Sign InClick on Sign In icon

  4. Current CCSU students, faculty, staff - choose CCSU users to login using your CCSU email / password. (All others should use the "Guest users" login & contact the Circulation Desk if there are issues.)CentralSearch Login Overlay for CCSU users OR guests
  5. Enter your CCSU email address and password at the Office 365 login promptCentralSearch Login via Office 365
  6. Choose whether or not to stay signed in, if necessaryCentralSearch Login via Office 365, dialog to say logged in

*** Please note: You may be blocked from accessing our databases at work, but that shouldn’t happen from home.   If it doesn’t work, call Norm at 860-832-0064 and we will try other options. 

Trouble with your login

Sign In Help / Contact Us

  1. For CCSU user login issues, go to Accounts Management (activate Bluenet account, reset password, retrieve username)

  2. Guest user login issues - contact the Library's Circulation Desk at 860-832-3410 or fill out the Tech Support Request Form

  3. Ask a librarian for help via live chat service or contact the Reference / Information Desk at 860-832-2060
