Annotated Bibliography: Overview

For this assignment, you will be creating an annotated bibliography. An annotated bibliography consists of a list of your sources as well as an annotation (summary and assessment) of each source. Each entry should comprise of:

Source cited via MLA or APA (refer to 'Cite Your Sources' page)

  • A brief summary of the main argument presented (look at the article's abstract, skim the article, look at the conclusion/findings)
  • A brief description of why the source is valid (refer to the ‘Evaluate Info’ page)
  • How will you use this source in your essay

This annotated bibliography should include all five required sources for the argumentative research essay.
