Open Educational Resources / Open Access Journals

View CCSU's Revamped OER LibGuide for 2020

Open Educational Resources (OERs) have been defined by The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation as follows:

Open Educational Resources are teaching, learning, and research resources that reside in the public domain or have been released under an intellectual property license that permits their free use and repurposing by others. OER include full courses, course materials, modules, textbooks, streaming videos, tests, software, and any other tools, materials, or techniques used to support access to knowledge. [see:]

NEW for Fall 2018: The CSCU Library Consortium & the OERs Statewide Task Force have put together resources for all of Connecticut's Community College and State University faculty members. They offer an excellent OERs guide, as well as an online "chat with a librarian" embedded in that site to help you define, find, and/or create OERs. (Several CCSU Librarians are providing shift coverage during the "chat with a librarian" hours.)
