What is a Cricut Machine?

A Cricut Machine is an American brand of cutting plotters, or computer-controlled cutting machines, designed for home crafters. The machines are used for cutting paper, felt, vinyl, fabric and other materials such as leather, matboard, and wood.

Step 1. Download the App

Use the Cricut Design Space app on the computer that is connected to the Cricut Maker 3 to design your project.  Design Space can be downloaded at https://design.cricut.com/.  Please note that each user will need to download a copy of the Design Space app to his or her own user profile.  You will need to create a personal Cricut account to use the software.

Step 2. Design Your Project

Use the Cricut Design to create a project.  You can start from scratch or use a template that is provided.  Cricut Design will guide you through the whole process.  If you need assistance with the software, please let a staff person know.

Step 3. Cut It

Use Cricut Design to send your project to the Cricut Machine for cutting.  Once again, Cricut Design will guide you through the process.  If you need assistance with the process, please let a staff person know.  Please note:  Users must provide their own materials for cutting.  A list of compatible materials can be found on the Cricut Website. These materials can be purchased online or at your local craft store such as Michael's or JoAnn Fabrics.
