Since 1973, Elihu Burritt Library has served as a selective depository for publications from the United States Government. These include materials from virtually every branch and agency of the federal government, such as: laws and legislation, congressional hearings, Supreme Court decisions, Geological Survey Maps, and a wide range of statistical sources including the U.S. Census. The Library's current collection contains approximately 100,000 paper items, 50,000 microfiche, and 22,000 maps. The print government documents department is located on stack 6 of the library.
