Humanities, International Studies: HUM 230/IS 230 Topics in International Studies

Use the catalog to find books

Catalog (Books, media)

Books are a great source for background reading or cultural and historical information. When searching for a biography, search for the person as a "subject". This will eliminate books written by the person and only retrieve books about the person. The title of the book may or may not have your specific topic or subject in it and it may be necessary to actually see or read the book before you can be sure that it is right for your needs.

U.S. History Biographical Subject Headings

The following are links to subject headings developed by the Library of Congress to use in searching for resources in an online library catalog or scholarly database. Please let the librarians know if you find other subject headings that might be helpful to other HIS-162 students in the future.

Subject Headings for HUM230/IS230 Book Review
