Art Images for College Teaching
AICT is intended primarily to disseminate images of art and architectural works in the public domain on a free-access, free-use basis to all levels of the educational community, as well as to the public at large. The images displayed on this site have been photographed on location by the author, who consents to their use in any application that is both educational and non-commercial in nature. The AICTwebsite's emphasis on ancient, medieval, and Renaissance European art and architecture.

This resource that gives you instant access to thousands of images from the British Library’s unparalleled collections. Allows you to search, order and purchase and download images.

Library of Congress Photostream on Flickr

Offering historical photograph collections through Flickr gives the Library of Congress a welcome opportunity to share some of our most popular images with a new visual community.

We invite you to tag and comment on the photos, and we also welcome identifying information—many of these old photos came to us with scanty descriptions!

New York Public Library Digital Gallery
A free service offering hundreds of thousands of digital images of historical materials from its Research Libraries' original, rare and specialized holdings. NYPL provides free and open access to its Digital Gallery and images may be freely downloaded for personal, research and study purposes only.

WebExhibits.org  
WebExhibits is a public service seeking to make people more informed about science and culture (e.g., studying connections between art and science). You can copy, distribute, or display many of the exhibits, unless otherwise mentioned.
