Digitization Services for Archival Materials

This guide provides information regarding requests to create digital copies of materials in the Elihu Burritt Library's Archives and Special Collections.

Requests for digitization will be filled on a first come, first served basis, and may take up to two weeks to be filled.

Digital files will be shared via Microsoft SharePoint and will remain available for download for 30 days after the request has been filled.

There is no fee for digitization, but those making requests are encouraged to donate to the Elihu Burritt Library.

Scanning items that are not located in Special Collections and Archives

Flatbed scanners are available for visitors of the library to use at no charge. These scanners are located on the first and second floors of the library, and may be used to scan portions of books or other library items for visitors' personal use.

Those who are not able to visit the Elihu Burritt Library in person but who would like to view materials that are located in the Burritt Library's stacks are encouraged to use their local library to place an Interlibrary Loan request. In cases where this is not possible, requests may be made using the request form above.
