Virtual Library Services During Emergency Campus Closure

Due to the current COVID19 / Coronavirus-related emergency campus shutdown, the library has put together this special guide to virtual library services.

What about my Books?

Please hold on to all due materials and return them after the library reopens. Do not come to campus to return them. This includes all materials with due dates that fall between March 12, 2020 and the date on which the library reopens for business. All fines that are accrued during this closure will be waived, with the exception of any fines previously billed.

Interlibrary Loan during the shutdown

As of Monday, March 16, 2020, Interlibrary Loan is open for articles needed for your research.  Please remember that not everything is in full text online and other libraries are experiencing the same closures that we are.  If we can find a library that is lending their online content, we will deliver it to you electronically.

As long as Burritt Library is closed, the interlibrary loan of physical items (books, DVD's, etc), through ILLiad and the CSCU Consortium remain offline.

RENEWAL of Interlibrary Loans through ILLiad:   The due dates are set at the discretion of the lending libraries, so we cannot do a global renewal on them at this time.  If you have material that is due, email us.   Do not worry, all overdue fines will be waived during the closure.

RENEWAL of materials from the CSCU Consortium:  If you need a renewal, please email us with the information.

Check back here for updates in event that this situation changes.
