The Stanley A. Lotko Curriculum Lab in Elihu Burritt Library primarily serves students and faculty in the School of Education & Professional Studies though it is available to the entire CCSU community. It provides resources and materials to assist educators in curriculum planning, classroom planning and student assessment.
The Curriculum Lab is located on the fourth floor of Burritt Library. You may request materials from the Curriculum Lab as you would from other circulating collections in the library. Please visit this page to learn how to request materials from the library stacks: How to request books & other library materials.
The dual focus of our collection of materials is to provide our students in the Education programs with the resources to help plan curriculum and offer materials that replicate a good school library/ media center. By combining these two collections of materials in a laboratory setting, an area is provided where education students may work individually or in groups to create curricula.
Print materials include Juvenile Picture Books, Juvenile & Young Person Fiction, Juvenile & Young person Non-Fiction, Professional reading, Reference, Textbooks and Educational Tests. Non-print materials include Aids & Games Slides, Audiotapes, CDs and Videos.
Assistance with find Curriculum lab materials can be found at the Reference Desk. Copies of this "pathfinder" to help with locating items are available in the Lab.
