The library offers full instructional support for both Mendeley and Zotero. Reference and instruction librarians of the Elihu Burritt Library are available online, via chat or the Book a Librarian service, to provide help with how to use these management systems on an individual basis or in pre-scheduled library instruction sessions.
Access to both Mendeley and Zotero is provided to students, faculty and staff at CCSU free of charge and can be used even after leaving CCSU. Navigate to the Mendeley page or the Zotero page of this Library Research Guide. Alternatively, you can register for a free account at either www.mendeley.com or www.zotero.org. While no one is limited to using just one of these citation managers, it is generally easier to manage a research project by using just one citation management system.
As of December 31, 2020, CCSU no longer supports the citation management system, RefWorks. You are encouraged to transfer all your citation information from that system to either Mendeley or Zotero. To access RefWorks, navigate to the www.refworks.com and follow the directions from this linked page (RefWorks Citation Manager).
